When Care May Help

You do not have to wait until everything feels unmanageable.

People begin psychiatric care for many reasons. Sometimes symptoms are obvious. Other times, life simply starts feeling harder than it used to.

Your mood feels different

Worry, sadness, irritability, emotional numbness, or loss of interest is beginning to affect daily life.

Sleep or focus is getting harder

Poor sleep, racing thoughts, forgetfulness, restlessness, or trouble concentrating is affecting work, school, or home.

Life has changed

A health diagnosis, loss, relationship change, caregiving role, or major transition has become difficult to carry alone.

You are carrying too much

Work, family, caregiving, or other responsibilities leave little space for your own emotional health.

Unsure how to explain what you are feeling?

You do not need a diagnosis—or perfect words—to begin.

The first appointment is a conversation about what has changed, what feels difficult, and what support may be appropriate.

A Personal Note From the Founder

The medical chart told part of your story. I learned to listen for the rest.

A chart can document your diagnosis, laboratory results, and treatment. It cannot fully show the fear, exhaustion, or uncertainty you may be carrying.

For a decade, I cared for people receiving dialysis. I saw how easily anxiety, depression, exhaustion, and uncertainty could be overlooked while patients were managing complex medical treatment.

My background also includes behavioral health nursing, charge-nurse leadership in skilled nursing, and hospital and medical-group case management through roles with Providence Medical Foundation and UCLA Health.

Those experiences shaped the care approach behind Novascend Neurowellness: psychiatric care that considers your symptoms, medical history, responsibilities, and goals as parts of one complete story.

Board-certified psychiatric mental health care

My goal is for you to feel heard, informed, and involved—not reduced to a diagnosis, laboratory result, or medical condition.
