Adults Balancing Everyday Demands

Support for adults managing anxiety, depression, attention concerns, trauma, sleep difficulties, stress, or emotional exhaustion while balancing work, relationships, and daily life.

Caregivers and Healthcare Professionals

Psychiatric care for people who spend much of their time caring for others and may be experiencing burnout, anxiety, low mood, sleep disruption, or difficulty prioritizing their own well-being.

What We Treat

Care begins with understanding what has been making life harder.

You do not need to know your diagnosis before reaching out. A comprehensive psychiatric evaluation can help clarify what may be contributing to your symptoms and whether Novascend is the right fit.

Why Novascend

Thoughtful psychiatric care, designed around the whole person.

Novascend combines psychiatric training with experience in dialysis nursing, hospital case management, utilization review, and care coordination to provide clear, individualized care for adults across California.

Comprehensive Evaluation

Care begins with a detailed review of your symptoms, medical history, medications, functioning, life circumstances, risks, strengths, and treatment goals before recommendations are made.

Measurement-Informed Follow-Up

Validated symptom measures may be used alongside clinical conversation to monitor progress, clarify treatment response, identify changes, and support shared treatment decisions.

Care Coordination

When appropriate and authorized, care may include communication with primary care, nephrology, therapy, pharmacy, or other members of your treatment team.

Clear, Shared Decisions

Treatment options are discussed openly so you understand the expected benefits, possible risks, limitations, alternatives, monitoring needs, and next steps.

Care That Fits Real Life

Recommendations consider your responsibilities, work, caregiving, transportation, treatment schedule, health limitations, preferences, and ability to follow the plan safely.

Care Before Prescribing

Treatment begins with understanding, not assumptions.

Not every patient needs medication, and not every medication is appropriate for every patient. Recommendations are based on clinical evaluation, safety, diagnosis, medical history, treatment goals, and individual preferences.

A Personal Note From the Founder

The medical chart told part of the story. I learned to listen for the rest.

A chart can document your diagnosis, laboratory results, and treatment. It cannot fully show the fear, exhaustion, or uncertainty you may be carrying.

For a decade, I cared for people receiving dialysis. I came to know patients who returned week after week while managing fatigue, demanding treatment schedules, changing family roles, and the uncertainty of living with kidney disease.

My clinical background also includes behavioral health nursing and charge-nurse leadership in a skilled nursing facility. My work later expanded into hospital case management, utilization review, prior authorization, and care coordination through roles at Providence Medical Foundation and UCLA Health.

Across these settings, I saw how easily emotional health could be overshadowed by medical complexity. That is why I created Novascend Neurowellness—to provide psychiatric care that recognizes your symptoms, health history, responsibilities, and goals as parts of one complete story.

Professional Background

My experience includes a decade in dialysis nursing, behavioral health nursing, charge-nurse leadership in skilled nursing, and clinical and care-management roles at Providence Medical Foundation and UCLA Health.

My goal is for you to feel seen, informed, and supported—not reduced to a diagnosis, laboratory result, or medical condition.

Services We Offer

Psychiatric care that starts with clarity. Treatment designed for real life.

Your care begins with a thoughtful evaluation and develops into an individualized plan based on your symptoms, medical history, daily functioning, responsibilities, and goals.

Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation

A detailed assessment of your symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, medications, sleep, daily functioning, safety concerns, strengths, and treatment goals.

Recommendations are made after the evaluation—not before.

Medication Management

Individualized medication planning with discussion of potential benefits, risks, alternatives, side effects, monitoring needs, and how treatment may interact with your broader health.

Medication is recommended only when clinically appropriate.

Follow-Up and Progress Monitoring

Ongoing visits review symptoms, functioning, treatment response, side effects, and changing needs. Validated measures may be used to support clinical decisions and track progress over time.

Brief supportive psychotherapy may be included when appropriate.

Adult ADHD Evaluation

Assessment of attention, organization, time management, impulsivity, follow-through, developmental history, and other conditions that may affect concentration or executive functioning.

Standardized rating tools may be used when clinically appropriate.

Care Coordination and Referrals

When appropriate and with your permission, care may include coordination with primary care, nephrology, therapy, pharmacy, or other members of your healthcare team.

Referrals are provided when another service or level of care is needed.
